Airport Festival 2024 - Thanks to over 2,000 guests!

Hof - Celebrating at the airport - the new edition of the airport festival in 2022 was a complete success! Over 25,000 euros in donations were collected back then. That is to be repeated this year: Together with the Rotary Club Hof-Bayern the party will take place on 15 June 2024 from 11 a.m. at Hof Regional Airport.

"Party for Charity" is once again the motto - because the event fulfils a good cause: together with all those involved in the event, a large amount of donations will be collected for social projects close to the heart of the Rotary Club Hof-Bayern. Every admission paid goes into the large donation pot as a fixed amount. The airport itself does not make any profit from the event.

The supporting programme once again offers great attractions: Flight demonstrations, sightseeing flights and aeroplane tours will give visitors a close-up look at the topic of "flying from the farm". The "Green Aviation Hub" from Mannheim will also be there, presenting an electric aeroplane and thus the future of flying.

Other attractions such as flight simulation and a bungee trampoline will also provide a colourful supporting programme. There will also be a bouncy castle for the little ones. A food truck trellis, organised by the Max butcher's shop from Hof. The Volksfestwirt GmbHan experienced partner when it comes to serving drinks and running the bar, is also on board.

The hangar party is also sure to round off the day with good music. Well-known DJs from the region will be playing: DJ Mondo & George Cooperand Ravers Nature DJ Teamwill heat things up with electronic music in the evening. As the stage is indoors this time, at least the party will take place whatever the weather. So there is sure to be something for everyone!

Once again, a shuttle bus with stops at the bus station and the Freiheitshalle will take visitors safely to the festival and back home again.

"We are overwhelmed by the great willingness of the regional economy to make the airport festival possible again this year with sponsorship money! We have already secured well over 60 sponsors. That is a strong commitment from the region for the airport!" said Rotary Club President Jürgen Schaller. We want to present the airport to the public in the best possible way and do good at the same time, says Schaller.

Airport Managing Director Ralf Kaußler is once again certain that this will succeed: "Once again we are showing what regional aviation is capable of. The Hof site has a lot of potential. The fact that we will also generate donations for social projects at this event is all the better in the end! We are grateful for the numerous sponsors who make this event possible in the first place," says the 35-year-old.

The event will also be accompanied by a nationwidefly-in. "We hope that many private pilots from near and far will visit our event with their aircraft and take part in it," continues Kaußler. Guests from the "International Fellowship of flying Rotarians" have already been invited by the Rotary Club Hof-Bayern to fly to Hof with several aircraft and start their journey to Romania from Hof on Sunday. "We are looking forward to 15 June 2024 and hope that the Hof region is also looking forward to this event!" concludes Schaller.
